Our decolonizing journey is flexible and responsive to each organization and which stage they are at. Workshops and training can be adapted to meet the needs of your organization.

Building a Foundation of Trust and Skills Workshop
The important work of decolonization, Truth and Reconciliation, DEI, antiracism and anti oppression is challenging and requires stamina. In order for organizations to move through these emotional landscapes building frameworks of trust and healthy communication are crucial.
Understanding the Impacts of History Workshop
In this workshop participants will:
- Gain a greater understanding of what lies behind the headlines regarding Residential Schools and shared Indigenous-Canadian history
- Gain appreciation for the varied strengths and contributions of Indigenous Peoples and their cultures in Canada, past and present and future
- Gain insight into the Current Context of Canada
- Gain perspectives and insights about Indigenous Peoples through a strength-based, culturally respectful lens
- Develop capacity to meaningfully contribute to reconciliation in both the workplace and the broader community
Truth Telling and Unlearning Cultural Biases
There is not one Canada. This workshop explores the many Canadas we live in and supports participants in spotting hidden blind spots and unlearning some of the cultural biases entrenched in the colonial systems of Canada.
The Unpacking Series
Understanding our own biases, core values and privilege helps us lean into the work of decolonizing. With this basic understanding we can begin to unpack the history of colonialism, systemic racism, white supremacy and white privilege. The work of unpacking wades into the waters of unlearning creating room for a new pathway forward.
Creating Cultural Safety
In this workshop participants will:
- Develop greater understanding of the historical impacts of the Reserve System, Residential Schools and Intergenerational Trauma on First Nations
- Discover the difference between Cultural Safety and Cultural Sensitivity
- Define and unpack Stigma
- Transform your uncertainty and guilt and replace it with a deeper understanding of reciprocity when engaging with First Nations clients and communities.
Models for Reciprocity
In this workshop participants will:
- learn about the practicality of traditional teachings
- understand the important role culture has always played in the resiliency of first nations people
- gain awareness of the unique diversity amongst various First Nations Cultures
- practice tools of connection and engagement
- receive guidance on how to proceed in a more mindful and respectful manner when working with First Nations clients and communities
