Testimonials

Always with gentleness and compassion--but never shying from confronting truth and emotion--Jada's work has nourished the potential for personal and organizational transformation at Dogwood.

Laura Benson - Director of Administration and HR, Dogwood BC

I have been working with Jada on a large project with the City of Vancouver focused on decolonization and anti-racism education for city staff to work respectfully with Indigenous community experts while we co-create a housing project that prioritizes Indigenous women and 2SLGBTQQIA people. The workshop process, resources and conversations have been meaningful and challenging and Jada has led me through the beginning of my decolonization journey with grace and patience. I am grateful for the expertise she brings to our project, for her ability to facilitate difficult conversations and for her willingness to share her knowledge and expertise in an effort to help create a just society.

Heather Oland - Vancouver Affordable Housing Association

If you are fortunate enough to work with Jada you will be changed by the experience. She is a storyteller who shares truths with those who will listen. Jada is soft-spoken and powerful. She is also honest and vulnerable. The personal journey towards understanding decolonization can be uncomfortable and is so important here and now. Jada is a guide who brings knowledge and insight to that journey.

Sharon Gregson - Coalition of Childcare Advocates of BC, $10 a day childcare spokesperson

I tell people that the workshop with Jada changed my life. I reference it often and still feel its influence years later. Jada's wisdom and teachings absolutely changed my perspective on what it means to live in Canada as a member of dominant culture. She gave me a greater understanding of my privilege and what I can do about it.

Andrew Williamson - Producer / Co-President Cedar Island Films Inc.

The urgent and necessary work of addressing systemic and institutional racism is often unsettling and challenges us all to bring our whole selves into the dialogue. Jada's skillful facilitation is grounded in empathy and honours the lived experience and capacity for growth of every participant. I have worked with Jada on numerous occasions and highly recommend her as a skilled facilitator and valuable professional resource.

Lara Honrado - City of Vancouver

Jada embodies a powerful mix of directness, humour, curiosity and compassion and draws on her personal stories and deep and varied background in cultural safety, psychology and counselling, curriculum design and art to create a very interactive journey for participants.

David Thomson - Senior Associate, Training Resources for the Environmental Community (TREC)

Jada is a skilled, thoughtful and value driven facilitator who brings a wealth of compassionate knowledge and care to her work.

David Ng 伍達宏 - Co-Artistic Director, Love Intersections and Founding Member, Vancouver Artist Labour Union Co-Operative

Working with Jada was a gift. She took time to reflect with myself and our community to understand the organization in a holistic way. This was an incredibly affirming process that resulted in space to be opened up for our future visioning.

Heather Lamoureux - Vines Art Festival

I have participated in one of Jada’s training multi-day programs and was deeply impressed by her patience, insight and intuition, and skill in navigating complex and often emotionally-charged discussions about power, privilege, reconciliation and the pathway forward.

Julian R. Griggs - Principal, Dovetail Consulting Inc.

I am constantly impressed with the depth of Jada's wisdom and knowledge and most importantly how she creatively applies these insights to new work.

Kat Dodds - Impact Producer for “The Corporation” and “The New Corporation”

Jada will skillfully move you through the process of unpacking familiar frameworks as you begin to embrace more integrated ways of knowing and being. I encourage you to seize this opportunity to work with Jada.

N.C. - City of Vancouver

Jada's Cultural Safety workshop was one of the most potent, intimate, safe, transformative sessions I've attended on the topics of diversity and inclusion.
